  1. The “weaker version of me” made me think of something. So as Deku gains All Might’s quirk, All Might’s power and control of One For All decreases. So if they’re quirk is the exact same- it is literally the same quirk- why doesn’t Izuku just get super bulky when using One For All rather than his veins glowing? What is the variable there? Is it kind of how in AoT a person can inherit someone else’s titan form yet look like a completely different titan then the previous owner? Like a different way of manifesting itself with the users body and proportions? Regardless, I’m happy they went the route it did, because buff Deku would look stupid, and the aesthetic they have going on is really visually pleasing.

    1. I was actually thinking the exact same thing! My previous thoughts on this have consisted of that maybe it changes its form of strength enhancement depending on the person’s quirk, but since Deku is quirkless, that doesn’t seem to make sense. So you’re idea that you took from SNK seems like the best one in my mind. I cANNOT imagine buff little Deku! It also may be the WAY he’s using the quirk. There are many different strength enhancing quirks, so maybe One for All is like a more general one that isn’t a specific kind? So then it like changes to suit its current user?

      1. Yeah, that would make sense. Because genetically, Deku just doesn’t have the body type of a really huge buff dude, so the quirk wouldn’t show up like that. I’d think that All Might did have that sort of body type before his injury.

        1. Yes! After reading some more chapters, I think that instead of Deku and All Might being different – since they WERE both quirkless – One for All changed for All Might after his injury from fight All for One? But that still might not make sense, because I think he was all buff as the symbol of peace before that tragedy.

          1. Hm. So you’re saying he might have started out as Deku. Then after his injury and his muscle strength gave way and he reverted to “husk All-Might” so All-For-One changed it’s purpose from supercharging already active muscles like Izuku to activating and flexing the muscles that were damaged by his injury. That’s not a bad theory at all.

          2. It has been all explained before, Yoshinori look like shit because of the fight with Venomous Chainsaw 5 years ago. He lost his stomach, half his respiratory system and his eyes are side effect of repetitive surgeries. When he buff up, it has nothing to do with One for All, it’s him “sucking his belly in like a guy at the beach” to look like his former self. Note: Gran Torino mentioned that the Quirkless Yoshinori’s body was the only thing he had for himself.

    2. All might explained his buffing to be a “flex”, I recalled seeing a flashback by Gran Torino where young All might had a buff body with his regular face, the skinny version is what years of battle damage did to him, so yea, he really just “flexes” which isn’t part of one for all.
